Steve Gifts Oil Industry With Taxpayers $?

Does it boggle the mind how a Prime Minister would come to dole out 150 million dollars to an American owned industry that has raped the world, profiteered and war mongered to a degree that has lapped previous levels several times in the last decade and, an American ownded industry that currently pay a 1% royalty fee for tar sands oil (don’t even ask about who does the math, either)?
Is there a Prime Minister anywhere in history that has worked as hard as has Steven Harper to make this nation look as stupid as possible, to look as “subservient” as possible and to look as patronizing as possible?
Next to the banking industry the short lived oil industry is the most coddled, the most contemptuous, the most reckless, the greediest and murderous…….now Stevie figures all of Canada should subsidize criminals with our tax dollars so the industry doesn’t have to bear the expense of figuring out how to contaminate the earth at a different location in Alberta. This from the man that beats his breast about judges coddling criminals, the man that snorts about jail terms not being long enough.
I guess it could be simply stated that Steve favors rich mass murderers and thieves to the small time, poor ones.
And what about “User Pay”? Isn’t that a favorite Conservative concept as they promote private medicine?
Apparently not where foreign criminal corporations are concerned.

Harper's Record On Crime

A tip of the hat to the Maple Three whose in-depth blog prompts this further comment;

Liberals, according to the Governor of Canada’s New Government, are soft on crime.
That begs the question, what is the new Guv’s record?
Steve record on crime has largely been devoted to offending every arm of the law. From Police Chiefs of Canada (see gun control) to the Supreme Court ( see public dressing down of Steve from head of Supreme Court over “stuffing” judicial selection committees) he can't make a fit anywhere.
His record simply sucks. Nothing - to either progress the Canadian legal system or delete a single measure of crime.
However, he save his most theatrical of performances for legal matters as he shmoozes the country with promises, faulty science and bassackwards logic. If the basic requirement for Conservative leadership is to perform like a clown Canada certainly deserves a more qualified conservative. Steve should abdicate for Jason Kenny.
