Steve! Please Stop Helping!

This must be a revival of Operation Condor, right? The North America version of it,right? The bloodless variety. State sanctioned terror where the enemy is so stupid he has a gun pointed at his own head.
Isabel Harper (or is that Stephen Pinochet) is off to negotiate more lumber deals with the USA. Describing their previous round of negotiations as “hard fought”, the reality is Conservative negotiators took a dive in the first round, gave George 1 billion dollars, a kiss on the ass and a promise to be good….and send more money.
Do Canadian lumber workers a favor Steve, don’t negotiate anything more to do with lumber and for heavens sake, send Emerson on a fact finding mission to Antartica while this is going on.

Canada’s New Government: In Character And Transparent

Anyone remember the whispered talk about ReformcumalliancecumConservatives being rascist????????????
“ U.S. law professor Muneer Ahmad, who's on Khadr's legal team, said in an editorial last month Canada has failed him by not demanding fair treatment or speaking out about the prison camp in Cuba. "Canada is virtually alone in its silence," wrote Ahmad.”
Maybe Khadr should have joined the Conservative party. Conservatives do know how to look after their own.

Magnesium Politics:Poof! All Gone!

Help me out here…
we had your loosely connected liberals, outside admen and inside civil servants scam the country for multi-millions to, according to Harper, buy Quebec votes. That prompted flabbertgastation from Jason Kenny and hypergastation for a dyspeptic Stephen Harper, leader of the august body of zombie bobble heads, AKA Conservatives.
Steve clearly spelled out from then until now, all that happened on the prior watch is illegal….and earlier this week he does the same thing and calls it “a Budget”.
This is sex without kissing, right? Another bottle of Stevie’s Constipation Elixir and Testicle Rub, right?

Harper: Creative Democracy 101

In the spirit of Zimbabwean politics and Alberta Conservatives everywhere, Steve skews a vote to insure a yes or no vote means the same thing. Hot on the trail of more new American friends, this time in the grain trade (that’d be your Cargill), Steve stands boldly in front of Canadians to say the final tally of “the vote” on the Canadian Wheat Board has been fully counted (several days after the vote.......he had to think about it) and fluffed to his liking with just the crumbling tiniest bit of meaningless fraud thrown in which wouldn't count if his side got to pick some of the people on the Supreme Court.
Guess what? He wins!
In a not totally unrelated story, Cargill’s new soy export terminal in Brazil was shut down by authorities over failed environmental studies. What is interesting about the story is the location in Brazil is a region which is described as being where “LAWLESSNESS PREVAILS”; obviously these folks, Steve and Cargill are kindred spirits.

Boot Licking: 101

Always at the ready as the anal oracle of Stephen Harper and Canada’s New Government, the Vancouver Sun ran an article on safe site injection designed first as a fishing expedition and second to show the masses that God is on the job.
Steve, never strays far from his commitment to Americanize Canada, be sure George notices it and as Stephen Lewis so eloquently puts it, aligns himself with the virus in the push to eliminate HIV.
But I stray…..
True to their obligatory role, the Sun chain wipe the drool off their face only to lay on a fresh licking on behalf of their benefactor, a story picked up by the Herald in Calgary.

Skewing Democracy Conservative Style

Is there a collection of Conservatives anywhere on God’s earth more inclined to believe, “Because! Just because!” is valid and final argument enough.
Senator Marjory LeBreton enlightens Canadians with a piece of repartee characteristic of even those of letters in Canada’s New Government.
Reflecting Harper, the Reform Party and small minded Conservatives everywhere, Senator LeBreton tells us that Canadians everywhere reject the status quo of the Senate. The truth is more like Conservtives in some parts of Canada are tired of an electoral process that cuts them out of stacking the Senate. Though it is a function of an electorate that constantly rejects Conservative governments, Le Breton and her peers believe they should have the power to manipulate the electoral process, insuring a Conservative stacked Senate, the Supreme Court and any other institution they set eyes and heart upon. Of course these new Conservatives are now hard selling the USA’s version of democracy – he with the biggest buck pile wins, owns and dictates.
The bottom line for Conservatives/cumReform/cumConservatives is a committment to a process similar to that provided Alberta by her Conservatives who stacked a deck, concocted electoral fraud then held it all up as proof of how right they are.
Federally, the thing that keeps frustrating Reform/Conservatives is they just can't seem to find more than “Because! Just because!” as a valid argument. To them it doesn't matter how they get there because if they win, it must be righteous.

Plato Knew Stephen Harper?

"The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men."
