What better way to avoid taking the heat while reversing direction than with a leak? We need not have worried though; the drip it appears, amounts to nothing more than the typical shallow bowl of watered down Conservative policy du jour.
Like a flea circus, they create little clouds of dust scurrying from one flip-flop to another trying to find that ever so elusive, solid Conservative position that’d be in keeping with their philosophy (which they don’t subscribe to because they were never conservatives to begin with).
Ah, but the circus knows no end. Stevie demonstrates his brand of Barney Fife style decisive leadership by adding a second fax saying, “Don’t you dare tell anyone”.
This is beyond the gang that couldn’t shoot straight; they don't even have a gun.

strategic Value of Somalia?
Maybe it has to do with potential sea ports or, maybe there is hidden mineral wealth but whatever the reason or reasons, the USA doesn’t go about starting wars for nothing. That Somalia serves a strategic purpose to the USA (or the henchmen now running the show) is something you can bet your ass on.
Of notable interest today is the New York Times
http://www.nytimes.com/
article, not so hidden on the first page, that specifies guns for hire are the holding up progress towards whatever puppet government is now acting on behalf of George…..well, at least the people that do George’s thinking. Far be it from anyone to suggest that maybe, just maybe the warlords are combining efforts to get rid of the US puppets and get back to Islamic Cleric control that was emerging and slowly, at long last, restoring peace…up until the US planned/sponsored invasion.
Of what strategic value is Somalia to George’s thinkers? Who the hell knows but wouldn’t it be fun if some real journalists with some real contacts actually BBQ’d some yankee ass and laid it all out for the world to see…..before it goes much further?
Well, at least we got one report that throws out the G’boys theory for launching another war. (That’d be your “Al Qaeda all over the country”, excuse).

Exlax Might Improve Her Vision
Years ago a pious man told me the reason he and others like him (?) liked the Calgary Sun was that the Sun offers them (?) a chance to voice their opinion. The fact that the Calgary Sun leads the league in sexploitation and promotion of the local sex trade did not distract, sway or anyhow influence the man’s thinking (also, the local Bishop runs a regular column with the irony of it flying right over his head).
It would come as no surprise to many that around the time of growing approval of the Sun by local evangelical’s the same Sun offered a thought provoking question, “what’s wrong with a little religion in politics”. Of course the answer is, if you’re asking the question the answer isn’t going to help you one bit.
Canada surely has more evangelicals in the party holding power than does Iran. Sure as hell we got the largest collection of hillbilly evangelicals sitting in government. These folks are to politics what plugged sinuses are to fresh air. For the sake of your country, Canada, dump them, PLEASE.

Nothing To Fear....
“Nothing to fear but fear itself”, so says Stephen Harper who figures the sky will indeed fall should Canada embark upon a course of international environmental cooperation under Kyoto.
Well hey, maybe he’s right. Why don't we pursue an in depth look at Stevies facts, science and experts detail that have lead to some pretty serious (or reckless) predictions under a Kyoto program?
In the absence of such detail the Conservative environmental program can only be viewed as more in a litany of inadequate, embarrassingly juvenile, poorly cobbled attempts at 'endowment legislation' for special interest groups.
Maybe there is indeed more to fear than fear; a little scepticism about Stephen Harpers competence is always in order but this serious an adventure could necessitate some questioning of integrity.

STEPHEN HARPER! PAGING STEPHEN HARPER!
The Accountability wanes. The leadership wanes. The courage of conviction wanes. Taking one for the cause doesn’t apply. Nope. And on this one Stevie needs….. TA DA! Cannon fodder! That decisive leader Stephen Harper has opted to lead the charge…….from behind. The point will be led taken by John Baird AND who’s behind ol’ Johnny giving him a shove? Why it’s, ‘STEVIE, THE GUTLESS’ WONDER!
Wasn’t the No-Kyoto your BIG bag, Steve? One of the biggies you were pounding?

"Trusssssssssssst in me".
Brown, Harper's annointee, is THE leading champion of The "tripe E". And for those that see merit in the idea of a tripe E you might want to review the history of Alberta and Ralph Klein's version of a ‘senate in waiting’ process. It will shed light on a cynical, contrived, stacked process best compared to a Soviet style election. (Does it surprise that it worked?)
Expect nothing less from Harper whose panting lust for Americana would have you believe there could be a better day ahead for Canadians under his………..tutelage. His assuring manner borrows thin slices of truth (and he does slice thin) to add a cynical veil of mortar on a cobbled version of fair, even handed government. Itsy bitsy pieces of old fashion fascism added along his path though, testify to Harpers interest in Canada; the gears are in reverse mode. What Steve has in mind does not include the growth of democracy and freedom in Canada. It does however include a narrowing of the base of power and rights of the individual.
As Hiss the snake said, "Trusssssssssssssssssssst in me".

Gun Control Conservative Style
“…….Because he killed and injured so many victims in a short span of time, some people speculated that Cho used high-capacity magazines containing as many as 33 rounds in each clip.
Under the federal assault-weapons ban enacted in 1994, magazines were limited to 10 rounds…………BUT THAT BAN WAS ALLOWED TO EXPIRE IN 2004”

Maych Ado About Nothing
What the ---- is with all the chicken little-ism over, “the deal”. One aspect that seems to fly right over the top of many of the ‘aryan blood only’, gang is the number of times the center-left is being divided by yet another party with a fruit cake cause, from people to environment.
If you want a vote splitting path to ‘rule by Fatso’, then make sure no inclusion, melding or cooperation takes place. All Tub O’ Guts needs is one third; it’s what’s kept conservatives alive in Alberta since the '30's and sure as another center-left split will help pave a path for his Bellyness at the federal level.
What the hell is everyone afraid of? This is'nt a Social Credit/Reform/Alliance/Conservative merger. This is LIKE minded people trying to come together.

A Donkey By Any Other Name
As a man of advancing age Paul Jackson still writes for the Calgary Sun, this inspite of signs of early onset of mental rickets. I’ve always believed you never want to lend a numbskull credence but every once in a while Paul, like a flasher in a school yard, exposes his inner most man with opinion that is more hilarious than stupid. Our modern day Josephus must have had full a 2 ounce shot of the finest Vegrevillian single malt bath tub gin prior to taking pen in hand for this one.
It seems Paul, looking into the future, sees Stephen Harper as being enthroned as the greatest of all Canada’s Prime Ministers.
I leave anyone who cares to follow the link below to read the article because it is funny in a pompous ass sort of way however I caution ere you become mesmerized by Paul’s dazzling way with facts, this is the man who also believes that (and said so in print) Rob Anders possesses the highest intellect of any in today’s parliament.

"A 200.00 hockey ticket is not a bribe"!
Subtitled:
Whose Your Daddy?
Early onset of dementia denies me recall of the name of the Conservative politician who uttered thos famous words after warming a seat as a guest of Bell during an Ottawa Senator game.
Sure.
Bell Gives out hockey tickets to politicians because..........................................the politician is a nice elected people and who wouldn't like a nice elected people?
And that would certainly prove too that John Reynolds has transcended earth to become a knotlobbyist.

Through The Glass Darkly
The Calgary Herald ran a report today by Mike De Sousa intimating John Baird might be clueless……
High praise indeed.
The Conservatives baffling stand on environmental issues may have been illuminated a day following a New York Times opaque report on the meaningful connection between a powerful, wealthy US right wing fundamentalist Christian group and Stephen Harper.
Not entirely unrelated, Harper on the same day announced the appointment of “Inspector Clouseau”, whose assignment will be the application of “Transparency” and “Accountability”….to the ‘other guy’.

First The Shoulder Shrug, Then The Spin
Irrespective of politics and political invective we as a country have an expectation elected officials will be totally committed to troops sent into battle. That commitment has been ignored by government. Our troops are driving around Afghanistan exposed to mines and suicide bombers as they travel in “a light armored vehicle” such as that which took six of our best.
Today, the infuriating spins starts: we are told the enemy used a larger than usual bomb. Who’d have thought?
While our political leader’s languor safe at home, buying up votes with billions, Canadian kids are in the gravest of danger not at the enemies hand but at the hand of those supposedly in charge of providing the necessities for Canada’s military to carry out a job. Big fat airplanes have done nothing for the troops on the ground so the question of how stupid can the Harper government be is revealed through the ultimate in costs. It is one thing to be incompetent at the very job one blusters about but to be blind to, to turn ones back on the reality of the war they committed our kids to is gross negligence even to a level of criminal responsibility. This is on the heads of the very people whose most used line is, “it’s the other guys fault”. Get off your fat ass and get the job done properly, Steve.

A Government Tied In Nots
With the NOT-election talk and vast sums being Not-squandered by the Conservatives...well, lets make that Stevie... Canada's New Government seem hell bent on what at first glance appears as a weird PR stunt if it's NOT a nation wide vote. But what the hey; bring it on! It won't be an election like we've come to know elections because NOT many Conservatives voices will be heard other than that of Emperor Stevie.
I miss the good old days when it actually looked like there was more than one person in the conservative party. Now the closest they come to NOT being a monotheistic party is when "wide-mouth" Baird or the "Flabbergasted" Kenny appear like Pop-Ups out of a toaster only to disappear in a flash.
Ah, what the hey, I guess the country has come to know and love Stevies signature endearing smirk and insecure half smile. Why not stick with a suitable formula. It is afer all too dangerous for today's Conservative to venture much beyond their comfort zone.
Nonetheless, I am hoping for a glimpse of the likes of Dianne Ablonczy who's own version of the smirk carries a condescending down casting of the eye (or does she have two?) following the baring of her teeth. I suspect we'll also get to see a bit of the NOT-lobbyist, John Reynolds. Lord knows he never smirks. His thing is to exude an air something akin to a fully impacted, crocodile and it is that which qualifies him as the NOT-Conservative hit man when there's NOT-to-be-further discussion on an issue by the press.
I expect accountability will be big on the Conservatives NOY-election agenda. Talk about impacted, though! Here's a piece of legislation likened unto a high school report, full of assumptions, spelling errors and fantasy enough for two nights of TV. And certainly Conservatives are NOT the target of the bellicose draft submitted by Stevie.
The NOT-budget should also be a biggy. I can't help but wonder if Conservatives aren't in fervent prayer for someone in the opposition to pull the plug and forces an election.
In fact, it's likely there's more passion in Conservative prayers today than was conjured up the very day Conservatives descended from the heavens and fell to their knee's on Parliament Hill. I think The last thing Conservatives really want is to actually have to pay all that bribe money to Quebec. The likelihood of that would be right up there with Conservatives getting our lumber money out of George (when is that supposed to occur, anyway?).
Stevies budget, is the Conservative pinncacle of a long list of NOT-legislation, conjured up like previous Conservative legislation which was never intended to be worth the paper it's written on.
Whataya think? IS the Emperor really intent upon a NOT-election?
(Oh, incidentally, any bets Stevie offers a note on Dion's patriotism when he gets back from France. That's too much for a dirt bag, hog wallower to resist, wouldn't ya say?)

Conservative Cheap Skate Won't Buy A Kid Lunch
Proving they're a cheap bunch of bastards as well as forked tongued, two-faced rodents, Conservatives sneeer at the idea they should buy a Canadian kid a lunch. This is not taxpayer responsibility; since it's Conservatives doing the jail house two step on this one the funds should come right out of Conservative coffers - double talking weasels that they are....

Saved Again!
Salvation was at hand today as the Emperor had the horse and wagon out flogging gallons of, "Doc Steve's Constipation Elixer and Testicle Rub". The Oracle On A Belly proclaimed that today he has provided a cure for wait times. (which, he added, are the fault of Liberals).
Yesiree Bob, the Emporer announce a cure is at hand.....in 2010.
So far, the only commitments worth the lemon juice HE's written them with are so far into the future he'll have had time to give all of Canada to the USA, one log at a time.
But, the real magic is in how he's going to do it.....
with a billion dollars!
What's with Doc Steve and the billion dollar thing? Does the word, "billion" make him feel more manly?

How To Fight Conservative Attack Ads
First of all….never mention the ad. Never mention the word, “conservative”.
Mention instead, Liberal and all good things Liberal, for example,
“Stephan Dion is a man who respects the Supreme Court of Canada”.
And, “Stephan Dion supports Canadian troops, first”.
Change the subject and make it positive. Better yet beat them to their daily punch.
Understand that at the core of “The Emperor’s” advertising is an understanding of the advertising principle that it matters little what ‘people’ say about you as long as it’s your name on their lips. So rather than fatten a maggot with it’s own fodder, starve it. Learn to turn the ad or press release with a flood of focus on the good news from the Liberal party. The way around negative advertising is making people happy, and that starts with individual Liberal supporters; say it first, say it often, say it loud. Drown the bastards out with 'happy' every time ‘they’ open their mouths to fart (because that’s all they do, really and people will vote for them just to try and stem the stench.). Be a freath of bresh air!

Aiding and Abetting the Enemy
Doris Day is in Afghanisnam!
God help us All and in particular our kids in uniform.
'Stinky' Day is a disaster, a Joe Btfsplk right out of Lil' Abner, the one with the cloud over his head. The man is to security what Typhoid Mary was to health.
Mind you he does have leadership experience. We all recall his march round the central alberta pub calling on God to "bring 'er Down". The only problem is in Afghanisnam there really aren't many structures still standing.
This is definately not going to help our image with the Afghan's. (maybe we can arrange a late season trade with the Taliban though; Stock and his travel companion, Mr. Justice With A Stick, Vic Toews for, say, Osama).
